How we research competitor comparisons.

By Santosh Gowda. Applies to all 16 comparisons in the compare cluster.

We sell one of the products in every comparison we publish. That is a real conflict of interest, and pretending otherwise would be worse than disclosing it. So here is exactly how these pages are built, what we will and won't claim, and how to get an error fixed.

Where the numbers come from

Prices and feature claims come from the vendor's own site first — the public pricing page, the help centre, and product pages — because that is the only source the vendor controls and can be held to. Every comparison links those pages directly in its Sources section, so you can check any number without taking our word for it.

Where the official site is silent, we consult third-party review sites (G2, Capterra, GetApp, Gartner Peer Insights) and marketplace listings, and we say in the text that the number is third-party rather than official. We do not link review sites as citations because they block automated verification, so we cannot promise a link still shows what it showed when we read it.

What we do when pricing isn't public

Several tools in this category are sold through a demo with no public price. We write "not published" and stop there. We never publish a made-up figure, and where third-party listings disagree with the vendor's current page, we use the vendor's page and note the discrepancy.

How we handle our own product

OnboardHive's side of every table comes from our pricing page and API docs, not from marketing copy — if a limit is 20 completed onboardings a month, the table says 20. Each comparison also carries a "when the other tool is the better choice" section with real reasons, because a comparison in which we always win is not a comparison. If you need native mobile apps, SOC 2 today, or a full PSA suite, several of these tools beat us and the pages say so.

We do not publish review scores or star ratings for OnboardHive anywhere, including in structured data, until there are genuine public reviews to aggregate. There are none yet.

Dates and staleness

Each comparison shows a "last updated" date, and its structured data carries the same date — no page claims a freshness it doesn't have. Competitor pricing was verified in the July 2026 research pass; the vendor links let you confirm current numbers yourself, which matters because pricing in this category changes without announcement.

Corrections

If a number here is wrong — especially if it is wrong about your product — email contact@onboardhive.com and it gets fixed. Vendors are welcome to send corrections directly; we will update the page and its modified date rather than quietly editing it.
